We were able to finish half of our monocoque right before the lockdown started. Starting today we are able to finish it at Sonaca.

We will be working through the entire summer to finish the production of Aurora as far as possible before the new team starts.

This year we got the opportunity to work with inertial measurement units from SBG systems. We are very excited for this, but what does an inertial measurement unit, or IMU for short do?
The ones from SBG systems measure everything that influences the heading of the car:
-Accelerations
-rate of turn
-roll, pitch, yaw
-Speed
-GPS position

In the picture you can see 2 different inertial measurement units. The big red one will go on the driverless car and is used in our driverless algorithm for the localization of our car. We also need these inputs in our path planning algorithm, to know how we need to change the steering and throttle of the car.
The small red one is used in our new car. There it will provide the same information, as an input for our semi-active control system and our torque vectoring system.
